Vulnerability is strength

In a world that profits off of your insecurities, loving yourself is a rebellious act.

Every time I create a new offering and allow myself to be seen a bit more, it’s terrifying. That feeling of vulnerability and the thoughts that follow: what will they think of me? What if I look stupid? What if nobody cares? What if I fail?
At the same time, I couldn’t not do it if I tried, it’s a yearning of my soul to create, to share, and to help.

And deep down it’s what all of us truly crave: to be truly seen and loved for who we really are.

It’s a soul longing whether we acknowledge it or not, and it’s where some of our deepest wounds lie:
Of being rejected
Of not being loved
Of being mocked or shamed even.
Of a parent denying us the unconditional Love we need to grow into healthy secure adults.

We all want to be our true authentic self, yet it’s f***ing terrifying that level of vulnerability. It’s so personal and intertwined with our being, that the notion of it being rejected can seem like annihilation.

But we need it. Deep down that’s what our soul craves more than anything, and when you deny it, when you try to be someone you’re not, when you play small to fit in, when you don’t explore and express all of who you TRULY are - you’re left with this feeling of something not being quite right. Maybe it’s the overwhelming sense of not being comfortable in your own skin or a subtle sense of nostalgia and homesickness - a feeling you can’t quite place.

Honestly, it can come out in all sorts of ways, physical, mental, or spiritual. Big and small. Yet this is the state so many of us are living in: this state of disconnection, self-rejection and suppression, and slowly slowly it eats away at your soul. We admire those brave enough to boldly stand in their truth, so my question to you is: what’s stopping you?

You’ll get over failing, but you’ll regret not being true to yourself. It’s one of the biggest regrets of those on their deathbeds: that they weren’t truer to themselves. So be brave, align with who you truly are, and allow your true authentic self to be seen

What is one thing you could do today to be truer to yourself?
Just choose one thing and please do it!!

One of my many actions of being vulnerable and brave recently has been launching my podcast – it’s been a dream of mine for a long time, and so here it is.

The more I show of myself, the more I realize it won’t destroy me, and the easier it gets. But still there’s that lingering sense, that fear of failure or of making a fool of myself. But I’ve familiarized myself with it and know it won’t end me. You can too.
